Confidence levels in the (rhobar, etabar) plane obtained from the global fit. The constraint from the WA sin(2beta)/(phi1) (from charmonium modes - see average from HFAG) is either not included in the fit and overlaid (left hand plots) or included in the fit (right hand plot). |

Confidence levels for the Wolfenstein parameters and UT surface and angles obtained from the Standard CKM Fit (shaded areas). The dotted curves give the results without using sin(2beta) (world average of the charmonium measurements) and sin(2alpha)[eff] (from B to rhorho) in the fit, while the dashed line excludes only sin(2alpha)[eff]. |

Confidence levels for the various sin(2beta)[eff] measurements that are believed to be dominated by a single, approximately vanishing CKM phase. Also shown are their averages and the Standard CKM Fit without including sin(2beta). |

Confidence levels in the (rhobar-etabar) plane for the ambiguity-free cos(2beta) measurement from the time- and angular-dependent analysis of B0->J/psi K* decays (BABAR). Also shown is the Standard CKM fit (excluded zones have less than 5% CL) and the four ambiguities on beta from the world average of sin(2beta) measurement using charmonium decays. Note that the Gaussian interpretation of the experimental result applied here (in lack of an experimental confidence level) is likely to overstate the exclusion of the two disfavored solutions for beta. |
